Did you know?

While Drew may appear to look like other carnivorous pitcher plants, the flask-shaped pitcher plant is predominantly a detritivore, especially of leaf litter. It spends less effort on attracting prey and instead carpets the area on the ground to catch as much decaying material, such as falling leaves, as possible.
