Did you know?

Butt, and all Mexican Butterworts, passively trap and digest insects on their leaves. They produce a sticky substance called mucilage that coats the leaves to initially trap the insect. Enzymes are then released to begin the digestion process, and nutrient-rich fluids are absorbed through small holes in the leaf's surface.
