Abbott was brought into a wildlife rehab center as a baby. He imprinted during the rehab process and then was deemed non-releasable.

He is an ambassador for educating people on the misconceptions that wildlife face as well as human-wildlife conflict.

One of the skills Abbott has learned through training sessions involves retrieving and stacking rings onto a stationary post.
